[Luther's had a lot of stuff to think about after port ended, and he's spent a lot of time holed up in his room not interacting with anyone else, which... isn't really saying much, but he's still less around than he usually might be.]

How far did you get in school, before you came here?

[He's not sure he really wants to talk about this with anyone, but he still wants to know, maybe get an idea of what other people were planning on doing when they got back. If they ever did. If he ever did, or if he even wanted to.]

[He's been sitting on this one for a long time, because it's a weird thing to feel responsible for something that he knew, really knew wasn't his fault, but he knows he needs to say something, so he ends up sort of blurting it out, almost like he just wants to get it over with.]

[Kon wants to pick a fight but he's not getting much to go off of. He could tell Luther to "not get an attitude" with him but it's not much of an attitude. Plus, he's done some terrible things in the past without meaning to. As much as he wants to ignore his own misdeeds and focus on his anger, he can't.]

That wasn't me! How am even I supposed to know you're dating? And yeah, it sucks that that happened to you, and I'm sorry it did, but it's not like I had fun in port, either. Maybe you should give a little more thought into what other people are going through before you start acting like you know everything.

[He was waiting for more snippy comments so he could really go off, instead he ends up getting caught off guard.]

I, ah--[Talk about suddenly becoming deflated. Give him a second.] I know that...it's just hard to not be frustrated.

[He'd, honestly, be doing the same thing if their positions were reversed, but Luther's too much of a hypocritical, selfish asshole to see that right now. Maybe someday.]

I'm still angry about a lot of things that happened and it's easier to be angry at you than a fluke of the universe, but that doesn't make it right.
